Isaac Burner who married Barbara Shrum was the son of Jacob Burner Jr. who died 28 Mar 1782 in Shenandoah Co. Va. His wife was Anna - some say Strickler but I can't find any proof of that. Jacob Burner Jr. was the son of Jacob Burner Sr. who died ca 1790 in Shenandoah Co. Va.
Have you heard the story that because Isaac Burner did not have any sons there was a request - or tradition that the first born son of the daughters was to be named Isaac Burner? My great grandfather was Isaac Burner Flory. He married my great grandmother Elizabeth Ward and "our" family story is that when their first son came along she said she would abolutely NOT do that to her son and she named him Frank Matthew.
