Betty,
Here is what I have on the early Burnam's.

Isaac Burnam was b. 1799 NC married Ann Garrett 19 JUL 1825 in Caldwell Co. KY which is where I now reside. Trigg is the neighboring county. As far as I know, they were the only Burnam's in this part of KY in 1820's to 1840's. By that time Isaac's children would have been having their own families.

Isaac & Ann had 11 children. 8 Boys 3 girls. The girls are as follows:

Celia Burnam married, but as far as I know it was not a "Mitchell"

Catherine Burnam b. 1842--I have no info on her and no middle name.

Jane b. 1847--I have no info and no middle name.

It is possible that Jane or Catherine could have "Minerva" in their full name, but we would have to "prove" that by finding something with the name on it.

Do you have a marriage license for the Mitchell/Burnam marriage?

Let me know if I can help from this end? Will be glad to look for you.
