In the Wood River, NE cemetery grave listings I have the following: Lelia B (1897-l984) wife of Whitman Olson; Avis V. (1895-1977) wife of Howard A. Miller (I assume Tom must have been a nickname ?) (1888-1950); Lewis Burmood 1887-1956 (but this couldn't have been your grandad because of the birth date???) Perhaps he is buried in Shelton or Kearney - both of which have Burmood graves listed. I have heard from another Burmood researcher (of our branch) who has a newspaper clipping and photo of the living Burmood children (1951) including Lewis - age 84. Photo is titled +8 Burmoods have 642 years among them - and states that the children came to Wood River, by covered wagon, in 1973, with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel(l) Burmood. My grandfather, George W. (deceased before the photo was taken) was the eldest child. I correspond with a cousin who is the only child of Otto, another brother of my grandfather's.
