"Uncle Ralph" Burmeister was actually my grandfathers cousin. Ralph passed away some time ago, however, his wife Yvon still lives in Cape Town (Kenilworth). My wife and I stopped by to see her a couple of years ago when we were on vacation there (we live in the US). Ralph was the mayor of Hermanus for a while and he was also a famous rugby referee. I am not sure of the name of Ralph's first wife, however, they had 2 children, Kathleen and Barry. Yvon has a daughter (Susan) from a previous marriage. I did not know Peter or Louis but I have heard that Peter had 3 sons and Louis had 3 children. I hope this is helpful. I also have family history for Burmeisters dating back to:
Hans August Paul Burmeister was born on 11 Jan 1846 in Wismar, Mecklenburg Schwerin (Germany). He died on 7 Jul 1922 in Cape Town South Africa.
Hans married Louise Wilhelmine Auguste Kock in 1880. Louise was born on 21 Feb 1853 in Tonning Schleswig (Germany). She died on 8 Mar 1917 in Cape Town South Africa.
