Greetings, fellow researchers,
I am searching for the descendants of Emma Burlinson Walker Candler, who married Cant Candler of Seamer, near Scarborough, Yorkshire, England March 1, 1840. Their children that we know of were Jane, Alice, Emma, Jessy and William. Emma's father was Thomas Burlinson Walker -- we have a copy of his will. Cant was a blacksmith who deserted his English family, came to America, and fathered at least 9 more children with his wives Meliscent Holliday Peebles Caudle Candler and Nancy Jane Gillespie Coatney Candler. I have a photo of Cant that I'm willing to share, and much information on his American descendants. Looking to share information with any descendants.
