David, I don't know whether it is the correct line or not, but there were several Burlingames that moved from Noble Co, OH, to Missouri in the mid-1800s. One was Asa Burlingame, but the one I am referencing would have been born before 1850. The Noble Co Genealogical Society may be able to help you with the information, though, as there is an extensive Burlingame Genealogy on file at the County Library. Their address is: Noble County Genealogical Society, PO Box 444, Caldwell, OH 43724. I found a copy of their Jan-Mar 1989 Newsletter in the Cincinnati OH Library with a letter from Asa Burlingame, living in Miller Co, MO, to his son, Waterman Burlingame in Noble Co, OH. The letter is dated April 12th, 1858. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
