Seeking connection of Laura C. POWERS [1819-1906] to CT [Connecticut] families of BURLINGHAM and GRINNELL [see below]. She married Jacob GOUGE, Jr. [1814-1883] of Trenton, Oneida, NY, and they had 2 children: Fred H. GOUGE and Addie GOUGE. Gouge, the architect, was born in Trenton, N.Y., May 5, 1845, son of Jacob Gouge, a farmer. The farm on which his grandfather, also named Jacob Gouge, settled at Trenton in 1796 is still retained by the family.
