I may be able to help. Except for my own line I have only copied the first four generations of the genealogy, but for some reason I do have Russell, who is generation six. He seems like the right person, althought the birth year is not a perfect match. Following is copied exactly from the genealogy.

Russell6-(Christopher5-Jonathan4-Roger3-John2-Roger1) son of Christopher (288) and Anne (Potter) Burlingham born Cranston, R.I. .........1770 died .......1850, burial Mexico, Oswego Co., N.Y. married, wife's name unknown, born ........ died ......... . Census of 1800 resided Herkimer, Herkimer Co., N.Y. and his household consisted of 1 male 25-45, 1 male und. 10, 1 fem. 26-45 and 1 fem. und. 10. Jan. 4, 1835 Russell Burlingham of Schuyler, Herkimer Co., N.Y. purchased Mexico, N.Y. land from Weston and Caroline Ackley and Hiram and Sophronia Norcutt. Known issue:-(BURLINGHAM)

Christopher Burlingham b....ca. 1790 d....ca. 1830
Russell Burlingham Jr. b . June 4, 1812 d. Mar. 16, 1895.
Isaac Burlingham b. ......1816 d.......1897 m. Maria Howard b....1812 d. .....1907, burial Mexico, Oswego Co., N.Y.

Unfortunately I do not have Christopher's page, although I do have Jonathan and earlier. Jonathan is my direct line also.

You might try calling the library of the Rhode Island Historical Society and asking if they would look up Christopher. It will make their job easier to know his number is 288 and is probably in volume 1. I don't know if they'll do this for you, but in my experience they've been very helpful.

Good luck!
Karen
