Karin: I will give you the names of the early Browns who married into the B'game family. They might be ancestors of your Brown family.

James (John,Roger)B'game b: 1694 d: 1768 from Cranston, RI m: Hannah Brown who died after 1760 at Cranston. She was the daughter of Judah and Hannah Brown. (Mayflower link)In the will of Elisha Brown, s/o Judah who died 1738, Elisha mentions his sister Hannah B'game and brothers Judah and David Brown.

Just found a reference under "Mayflower Line"
It is 2 pages long and links the Brown family to the Cooke family who came over on the Mayflower. Do you have access to a fax machine? If you do I will fax you the two pages, if not let me know and I will send them to you by e-mail.

David (John,Roger) b: 1706 d: 1755 married 1728 to Mary Brown b: 1709 d: 1794 at Glocestor, RI. She was the d/o Hosannah and Mary (Hawkins) Brown. Mary had a brother, Nathan Brown. In 1730, Hosannah deeded half his homestead to his daughter Mary and husband David.

Sibel (John,John,John,Roger) m: Benjamin Brown Nov. 13, 1767 in Cumberland, RI. Benjamin b: 1751 and died before 1775. No record of children.

Looking now for a Ohio connection:

Thriza Sovilla (Richard,Jeremiah,Jonathan,Roger,John,Roger) b: Pownal, Vt. 1815 d: Saybrooke, Ohio 1889 m: Ambrose C. Brown who also died in Saybrooke.
