here is what I have for this family:
James Allen Burleson b 6/8/1837 Marion Co., AL d 9/29/1910 Marion Co., AL, buried Mount Olive FReewill Baptist Church. He married about 1858 Elizabeth Louise Ingle b 2/17/1836 SC d 9/20/1909 Marion Co., AL. She was the daughter of Peter Jack Ingle b 10/24/1813 TN d 3/17/1892 Marion Co., AL and Melvina or Lavina. This family is listed on the 1860 to 1910 Marion Co., AL censuses. James enlisted 9/8/1862 in Co., K, 5th AL Cav. and Co. M, 5th Al Cal. The odd thing about this wife is that in the 1900 census it shows she had three children with three living. My records show that James had children: Wiltha Ann bc 1859, L. "Tindy" bc 1862, America bc 1865, Louisa C. bc 1867, Elizabeth b 9/24/1871, Mary A. bc 1876 and Rachel bc 1879. The 1880 census also lists Wm. Henry Long as a son bc 1875 Not sure if son of James or Henry Graham. If James married twice this would make sense. The second Louisa had children Henry (while married to a Long)and then Mary A. and Rachel while married to James. The first Louisa would have given birth to five daughters from 1859 to 1871. This Louisa would have died between 1871 and 1876. The census records show Louisa as 21 in 1860 b AL., 35 in 1870 b AL., 44 in 1880 b SC, 64 in 1900 b SC. The 1900 census also shows they have been married 42 years, putting it at 1858. I really think there may be an error regarding the number of children Louisa had given birth to by 1900. Hope this helps. Would like to see your research on descendants of this family.
Dan
