Hiya Karen,
I don't think this is the same Anna Burkholder. BURKHOLDER would be this Anna's maiden name, I believe. She purchased land here on East Chestnut St. in Lancaster,PA in 1875. She then purchased more land right next door to these lots, and it contained two houses in 1879. Then in 1880 a David Burkholder lives on the property. I thought possibly this was her son. He came to lancaster City from East Hempfield Township.
I am not related to the Burkholders but, this is the reason for my inquiry....A few years ago I found a very old portrait of a man in our garage. I have researched the history of this house trying to match a face to said picture. Of three possible subjects I have narrowed it down to two, one of those being David Burkholder. Strangely enough the first three men who lived in my house were all employed somehow concerning the law.

Cynthia
