Frank Ernest Burkholder
Services for Frank E. Burkholder, 79, of Perry Township, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Brunner-Nixon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 176 N. State St., Painesville 44077.
Mr. Burkholder died Sept. 16, 2001, at Lake Hospital System in Painesville.
He was born Nov. 27, 1921, in Painesville.
He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Fairport Harbor, a member of the Lake County Rod and Gun Club for more than 50 years and the Mad Hatters canoe club. He was a Lake County beekeeper. He was also an avid woodworker who liked to build canoes.
Mr. Burkholder was a machinist supervisor for Coe Manufacturing in Painesville, retiring in 1987 after 38 years.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Mamie; daughters, Carol Burkholder of Perry Township, Frances Jean Gossett of Rock Creek, Ruth Ann Burkholder of Cleveland Heights and Cynthia (Steve) Simmons of Perry; son, Frank (Karen) Burkholder of Perry; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Harriett Kachmarik of Cleveland; brothers, Peter (Helen) Burkholder of Perry, Roy (Donna) Burkholder of Thompson, Timothy (Sandy) Burkholder of Peach Tree City, Ga. and David (LeeAnn) Burkholder of Springfield; and adopted brother, Lynn (Emma) Butte of Florida.
His grandchild, Tulsa Stewart; parents, Elton and Adelia Burkholder; sisters, Louise Burkholder and Elnor Anthony; and brothers, Harry and Murriel Burkholder, are deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in N.E. Leroy Cemetery in Leroy Township.

Burkholder, age 81, a resident of Perry, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Lake East Hospital in Painesville, Ohio.Born Feb. 11, 1927, in Painesville, Ohio, she was a daughter to George and Gladys (Green) Saunders. She married Frank Burkholder on Nov. 18, 1944, in Painesville.Mamie enjoyed needlework, gardening, camping, and canoeing. She was a former member of the Lake County Rod and Gun Club, and Madhatters Canoe Club.She is survived by one son, Frank (Karen) Burkholder of Perry, Ohio; three daughters, Frances Jean Gossett of Rome, Ohio, Ruth Ann Burkholder of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Cynthia (Steve) Simmons of Perry, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bert Saunders of Tennessee, Ray Saunders of New Jersey, and Donald Saunders of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Mildred Schlauch of Perry.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter Carol Burkholder; and grandson, Tulsa Stewart.Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2008, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio, with Louis Tychonievich officiating. Carol M. Burkholder
Funeral services for Carol M. Burkholder, 60, of Perry, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Behm Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 26 River St., in Madison.
Mrs. Burkholder died Dec. 10, 2005, at Lake East Hospital.
She was born Aug. 16, 1945, in Painesville.
She loved bowling and playing bingo.
Mrs. Burkholder worked as a CNC Operator and a Punch Press Operator for United Fabricating Inc. in Mentor.
Survivors are her mother, Mamie Lucille (Saunders) Burkholder of Perry; sisters, Frances Jean Gossett of Rome, Ohio, Ruth Ann Burkholder of Cleveland Heights, and Cynthia (Steve) Simmons of Perry; brother, Frank (Karen) Burkholder of Perry; two nieces; four nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Ernest Burkholder.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Leroy Township Cemetery.
