Sara Burkhart or variation of spelling

Please help...new to this...here's the story! my name is Gwen Rodriguez, father Joseph rodriguez, his father Geronimo Rodriguez, and his father is Mariano Rodriguez.. Well the story goes that Mariano and a German daughter of a Burkhart family from Texas ran away together.... her name was Sara Burkhart...although i have never seen her name..just heard it pronounced...so it could be any variation of Burkhart. Census shows her birthdate as 1855. She ended up having about 8 children with Mariano Rodriguez in the Duval County area. Daughters names were Amelia, Anastacia, Amada...sons were Melchor, Gaspar, and Geronimo...which is my grandfather.

Census records also show that her parents were born in Germany.

Please let me know if you have any information on the Burkhart family from Texas...you may know her as the one that ran away with a "Mexican" hah..

Thanks, Gwen Rodriguez Mckibbin
