I am looking for a John and Pauline Burkart that were in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1850. I have RUMORS of several children being born (possibly a Tom and Charles who may have moved west of Ohio). I do have records of at least two children, one being August, who moved to Iowa and the other being Joseph Ludwig Burkart(b.1850). Joseph married Maria Elisabeth Schneider and lived in Butler Co., Ohio. They had two sons, Leopold Haughter Burkart (b. 1883)and George Aloysuis Burkart(b. 1886). This family is supposedly from the area of Alsace Lorraine. The name has been recorded as Burkhart at times (but that is not unusual for this name).
