Looking for info on a Thomas Burke. On the 1850 census Eastern Dist Spottsylvania, age 49, wife Sarah 49, children Mary E 18, Sarah C 17, John J 16, Virginia 15, Wm T 12, George B 10, Robt 7. All born Va. 1860 Census Berkeley Parish, Spotsylvania, Thomas Barke 59 blacksmith, Robert Barke 16, Mary Mastin 47. 1870 Census Thos J Burke 70 blacksmith 70, Robert Burke 24, Mary Mastin 64. 1880 Census Livingston Dist, Thos. J. Burk 80 farmer, Robt S. Burk son, Mary Mastin 75 sister-in-law. Wife Sarah's maiden name probably Mastin based on sister-in-law info. Thomas' son George B. died in Spotsylvania County 12/23/1924. His son George died age abt 82 in 1924; Isabella who died 1928 moved to DC, lived with daughter Elizabeth Burke Frost who died 1960. These three were all buried in Fredericksburg according to death records. George A. Burke, a son of George & Isabella, died in 1904, and a notice in the Washington Post stated he was buried in Spotsylvania County in the "family cemetery." Any info on this family and where this particular Burke family cemetery might be will be very much appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
