Jacob Burgoon Naturalization (Maryland)
I was in the Western PA Historical Society in Pgh. recently, and I came across this:From the Maryland Historical Magazine Vol. XXVII pg. 29 Commission book 82, "Burgoon, Jacob, native of Germany, denization [citizenship], 30 Sept. 1771."I also found somewhere (can't locate my record at the moment)that there was a Jacob Burgoon listed on the ship Lydia, in 1742. I'm a descendent of Honour Burgoon and Ignatius Adams who married in 1815 at St. Michael's Church in Loretto, PA. I've been stuck at Jacob Burgoon for a long time. Someone should win a grand prize or something for taking this back another generation!I'm happy to meet all the Burgoon cousins.Sue
