I don't know if this can help you, but I found it in a new booklet I just purchased at Historic Christ Church in Lancaster Co., VA - "Landholders & Landholdings" in that area, which includes a good map:
F-7 - Baldwin Matthews Smith (absentee) 50 acres - Absentee owner Baldwin Matthews Smith possessed this tract by virtue of his marriage to the daughter and heir of Col. Charles Burgess of Saint Mary's White Chapel Parish. The 50 acres had a succession of many owners, most of whom were absentee, including Edward Nicken, a free black, who purchased it in 1714 (DB 9:478) and soon thereafter sold it to Col. Burgess. Before Smith, the land had also been listed under the name of Jesse Ball, who had married the widow of Col. Burgess."
I am not related to, or researching these people.
