My initial Burgess tree leads back to a Richard Burgess, born Maresfield, East Sussex 1796. I am stuck with any parents, siblings etc. Could he be related?
Richard was sent to Tasmania, Australia as a convict in 1818. He had two wives and four children (wo boys and a girl with wife one and a son with his second wife).
William is a common name in my family tree with the Burgess line here in Australia.
