I don't know if you may be able to help but my GGG Grandfather John Burgess's b 1753 Staffordshire England, son was George Burgess b 1793 Staffordshire he emigrated to Nova Scotia around 1820, his first marriage was to a Jane Moody b 1797 and they had 4 children Ann Burgess b 1827 Stewiacke, Colchester , James Burgess b 1831 Stewiacke Colchester d 1926 Old Barns NS, Catherine b 1833 Stewiacke, Colchester and George b 1828 Stewiacke, Colchester NS d 1914 at Old Barns NS.
George Snr married again to Mary Carr b1812 Walton, NS and their children were Robert b 1843 Walton, NS, Nelson b 1845 Old Barns, NS, Collingwood b 1845 Old Barns, NS, ( I assume Nelson & Collingwood were twins) and Ruby b 1849 Old Barns, NS.
