Jakob Burg of Reil is my great-great-grandfather. He was married to Margritt ? They had nine children: Christoph, Jakob, Peter, Frank, Gertrude, Margritt, Beb, Sophie & Maria. Gertrude was born in 1871 (d. 1955) and married Joseph Bitdinger (born 1863, d. 1935).
Gertrude and Joseph had eight children: Joseph (1897), Frank (my grandfather b. 1899), Peter (1901), Maria (1903), Gertrude (1906), Jakob (1909), Elizabeth (1911) and Katherine (1913).
Frank came to America in 1925 and married Katherine Roehl, also of Reil, in 1926.
