I'm descended from Philip and Elizabeth Ann McMichael through their daughter Alice. Family legend has it that he was from New Orleans, although I've heard that he was from St. Francisville. Elizabeth was born in Amite, LA in 1841 and died in Baton Rouge in 1879. Let me know if you have any other info, or if you would like more. vcaff@cox.net
