My distant Grandparents was "Johann BURG" born: 02 September 1800. He died: 04 September 1883 in Burlington, Des Moines Co, Iowa. He was married to "Margaretta Seigelochs. (some spelled it ZELIOX", and others "Celock")
They were married in Bavaria, Germany, and had the following children:
#1)- John Henry BURG, born 16 December 1826, Germany. Died: 07 November 1899, Burlington, Iowa. He married "Fredericka FITCHNER" on 16 March 1853 in Burlington, Iowa.
#2)- Anna Katharine BURG, born: 31 May 1828 in Germany. Died: 22 July 1878 in Burlington, Iowa. She married "Henry EWINGER" in Germany in 1852 just before they came to America.
#3)- Margaretha BURG, born: 19 November 1829, Germany. Died: 09 December 1911 in Yellow Springs Twp., Kossuth City, Iowa. SHe married: Amos BOLICK on 13 January 1853 in Des Moines Co, IOWA.
#4) Mary Catharina BURG, born: 02 November 1832 in Germany. She died: 07 May 1896 in Burlington, Iowa. SHE Married: August MEEKE on 11 Apirl 1863 in Des Moines Co., Iowa.
#5)- Jacob BURG, born in Germany about 1840, and he died at SEA, on the trip to Amerca and was buried at sea.
#6)- Lewis BURG, born: 10 February 1843 in Rhinephaltz, Bavaria, Germany on 10 February 1843, and died on 28 April 1926 in Dallas City, Illinois. He married "Cordelia H. BEHME" on 14 February 1867 in Farmington, Iowa.

They operated the BURG WAGON COMPANY, and in the later years, they Built the BURG AUTOMOBILE, and sold about 50 cars before the business was closed and sold to Chrysler. Write me at James E.
