I believe I ran across your Clarence while trying to backtrack my Robert. In 1900, in Mt. Pleasant, Racine County there are three families of Burdicks living next door to each other. They are brick makers.Franklin Burdick (wife Pauline), four sons:Louis, Albert, David, Frederick.
Son Albert (wife Margaret) has children Florence and Lester.Albert is listed as "shipper" rather than brick maker.
Son Louis (wife Annie) has four children:Clarence, b. 1893, Russell, b. 1895, Gertrude, b. 1897, and Rosy, b. 1898.That would make Clarence the right age for his children to be born 1919 or so.Does any of this ring any bells?
David and Frederick were not married at that time, living with Franklin.
I can e-mail you the census page image as a ".tif" file.If you have Kodak imaging or a similar program you can view it (look under Accessories:Imaging).
