John C. Burdett b. Sept. 1840 IN (the son of Mary M. "Polly" Shaul and Christopher Burdett), resided in Green Twp. Madison Co., IN near Pendleton, d. 1 Feb. 1911 on his farm. He married Nancy E. "Nannie" Nicholson in 1864. Known children were D.Manelias b. 1865, William C. b. 1869, Eliza A. b. 1870 and Mary J. b. 1874.
John's siblings were Adeline (Burdett) Ward b. ca 1858, James Leonidas Burdett b. ca 1844, Alexander Burdett b. 1845, Oliver H. Burdett b. 1850 and Elizabeth Dysey (Burdett) Alfont b. ca 1854. After Christopher Burdett's death in 1855, "Polly" married 2nd John Henry Hiday between 1860 and 1870.
Hoping to find a descendant of the Burdett family who can identify a few family pictures that are believed to be members of this family.
