Hi Verla,
I have tracked, along with other members of my family, our family line of Burdett/Burdettes back to Reason Burdette, who lived in Belmont Co, Ohio ca. 1814 to his death sometime before 1860. He had two wives, Sofia Spencer, his first, and Rachel Martin, his second.
According to census records, he lists his state of birth as that of Maryland, and his year of birth as 1790.
We have been at a loss to make any connection, but since Belmont Co. is just over the line, and very close to Maryland, we feel there has to be a connectin somewhere between the Burdett/Burdette familys in these areas?
Can you provide any help here.
It would be appreciated.
