John C. Burdett was born March 14, 1847 in SC
His parents were Stephen and Lavina. He was the last child to be born in SC before they moved to Georgia. He was 12 years old when the Gwinnett Co. GA Census was taken in 1860.
He was not in the CSA, but was in the State of GA Militia from Gwinnett Co. He married Lora Craft on August 9, 1870 in Fayette CO Ga
they had 5 children. He married a second time to "Fannie" Cochran. They didn't have any children from their marriage. This was my great-grandfather. If you have any other details I would love to hear from you.
