I know from searching the messages that several people are researching in the general direction I am looking at, but I'm lost, so maybe you can help. I have three brothers:
Thomas Burditt/Burdett b. 1801/02 in Bedford PA. Thomas m. Pracilla/Drucilla Gebhart/Gilbert, and Ellen Forgay in Muscatine, IA
Humphrey Burditt/Burdett b. 1809 in Bedford, PA. Humphrey m. Esther Benefill in Muscatine, IA.
Lewis Burditt/Burdett b. 1813-15 in Breckenridge, KY. Lewis m. Elizabeth Pace in Muscatine IA.
IGI records show parents for all three as RICHARD BURDITT and Mary Paine.
By 1850, all three were living in Sweetland TWP, Muscatine, IA, next door to each other.
In 1860, Thomas, Humphrey, and Elizabeth Burdett were living next door to each other in Bloominton TWP, Muscatine, IA. No mention of Lewis, possibly he died.
In 1870, Eli (Thomas's son), Humphrey, and Elizabeth Burdett were again living next door to each other, but back in Sweetland TWP, Muscatine IA. It appears that Eli is living on Thomas's homestead - Thomas may have died.
I am really new at this, and am having a hard time telling if there is a connection to any of the lines being discussed in these messages. If any one see's a connection that I am missing, I would really appreciate it if you would let me know. I have a list of numerous children from Thomas, Humphrey, and Lewis, if they would be of interest to anyone. Feel free to e:mail me. Thanks
