My Burdett/Burditt ancestors came via VA. I do have a sketch from the Abridged Compendium of of American Genealogy about Etienne and Peter. Capt. Etienne (Bourdet)Burdett, Hugenot capt. naval forces of Louis XIV, emigrated upon revocation of Edict of Nantes, 1685. Has info on following: Stephen>Peter>Peter>Freeborn>George.
