My gggg grandfather was Humphrey Burdett who died in Pittsy co VA in 1794. I am descended from his son, Thompkins Burdett Sr. The family moved to Breckenridge co KY and descendants moved to Marion co MO 1830's. Humphrey, Jarvis and Wm. all were in the same locales, Caroline, Franklin, Pittsy co and their names are on the same land records. Have Jarvis' Rev war records and Humphrey's service in Elk Creek Militia.
Believe them to be members of same family, need to know relationship. Jarvis served for bro Wm. but I do not have the relationship of Humphrey to them. I am also descended from a William Burditt on another line. May be this Wm. since cousins often married. Have proven records back to Humphrey but have hit a brick wall there.
