Ken,

I saw Abraham Goad, also, and wondered. I will have to get back into my records. Please give me time. Certainly "Humphrey" Burdett is weird enough name to be connected to any Humphrey Burdett in 1700s Virginia. My gggg is Humphrey Burdett who died 1819 in Wilkes Co., GA. His son, Humphrey, my ggg, died past 1860 census, b. 1780 in VA. I found his father in 1780 tax list of Henry. I also went to Virginia. (l) To CH in ____ county and found old Humphrey enlisted in Rev army there. Then it seems I followed land grants in changing county lines (ie. Pitts, Lunenberg) and the trail tried to lead back to the William Burdett who shows in the 1750s orders of Orange County. Seems a William came that way, as well. I am doing this from memory, so let's stay in contact. I hope to have my email working in a week or two.
