Connie,

I am ggg grandson of Humphrey Burdett (1780-past 1860). I recognize the name Hardeman Primitive Baptist--but how about Nancy Creek?
All in DeKalb, I think. Seems I remember Seaborn Jones. GGG Humphrey was son of GGGG Humphrey. GGGG died in 1819. Left no will. HOWEVER, IN THE DEEDS OF WILKES COUNTY, GEORGIA, it is as good as a will. Old Humphrey gives deeds to his children. One was mine, "Humphrey Burdett of DeKalb Co., GA." I THINK--BUT I could be wrong, I have seen that Seaborn Jones--probably in old Humphrey's deeds to his children. If you cannot get to Wilkes Courthouse, you can order those deeds via Mormons. Let's stay in contact. I certainly would like to have a Burdett correspondant. Watch those Samuel Burdetts. Seems there were two sets in Georgia and over into Chambers/Tallapoosa County, Ala. But Hardeman rings true to me some way. I think yours is mine. "With NO REGIS MILLIONAIRE LIFELINES" LEFT, I think so. I am a semi-retired college history teacher in Texas. Please connect.
