Looking for infomration on George Burdett(e) of Agmenticus Maine. Court records dated Sept 8, 1640 indicate he was Episcopalian minister engaged in the baser activities with the wife of George Puddington, Mary Pooke Puddington. This is the incident that is said to have influenced Nathaniel Hawthorne to write The Scarlet Letter. Does anyone have information regarding same?
