We are having a hard time tracing our line back. We stop at Reason/Resin Burdett m. to a Hannah or Sofiah Spencer. The 'story' that has been handed down is that our Burdett ancestors who came to America were of nobility 'an aristocratic people'. Supposedly a Burdett married one of the Duke's of Kent daughters...but, so far, we have not found this connection. This Reason was born in the USA in Belmont Co., OH and the only marriage record I can find of a Reason Burdett to a Spencer, that would have fit his son William Miller's age is August 30, 1814 in Belmont Co., OH...William Miller was born sometime between 1815 and 1820 in Belmont. Any connections to anyone you have? Any help is greatly appreciated. LiRae
