I do have info given me by another researcher that indicates the there were members of my Burditt family in Prince William county about 1750. However, Jarvis' pension record indicates that he was born in Caroline co. The John Burditt who was my gggGrandfather born 1775 in Bedford co VA was son of William and Elizabeth Burditt. Tahe family sheet has the notation "Burditt family records in our possession" at the bottom of the page. I have been unable to learn whose bible this was. The researcher who copied this about 40 years ago cannot remember who was the original owner. She says that Bessie Felkner, who was elderly at the time had copied the records from an old Bible but she could not remember which of the relatives let her copy it. Sure wish we could locate that old bible. It might answer a lot of our questions. Loats of luch in finding the missing pieces.
