My grandfather, Lewis Henry Burd, was born in Murray Iowa on 15 Nov 1883. He was definately the brother of Arthur Burd.
I do have much info to share with you. Quickly, Arthur G. Burd's father was Charles Howard BURD (b. in Ohio in 1853,buried in Murray,Iowa in 1903); whose father was Samuel BURD (b. in Perry Co.,Pennsylvania in 1827, dying in Iowa in 1897); whose father was Jacob BURD (born in Cumberland Co.{now Perry Co.} in 1785, dying in Perry Co.,Pa in 1869); whose father was Mathias BURD (1747?-1817); whose father was of German origin and probably went by the surname of Vogelor Fogle.
I also have much info on many of the maternal lines as well as siblings. Be glad to share with you. I am having trouble contacting you via e-mail, but will keep trying.
