Voltaire Burd...his father was John Burd...and he was born in Monroe Co, NY...rochester...according to the IGI. (year 1824) In 1850 he is in Michigan and in 1860 he is in Green Co, Wisc.

We are trying to find out sibblings of his father...did John have a sister, Chastinna? We are trying to establish a connection between Chastinna ( ?) Bissell Gilbert (married two times) and the Burd family. She placed her son, Philo, in a Burd family in Michigan after her husband, Daniel VOLTAIRE Bissell died about 1845. Philo married in Grant Co, Wisc about 1859.
