Just on circumstantial information, I believe that they are the sons of David Bird and his wife Susannah Greaver Bird. This couple was married in Augusta Co VA in 1822. She was the daughter of Phillip Greaver Sr. and his wife Maria Sophia Zimmerman Greaver. David and Susannah came to Gallia Co Ohio by 1840, when they are shown in the census records with 5 sons and 4 daughters. I have accounted for two of those daughters and three sons born before 1840, but the rest of the children I can document were born after 1840, leaving 2 sons and 2 daughters unaccounted for. Your two Birds married the Cline girls in Gallia Co VA in 1845. That would have allowed David and John H. to have still been counted in David Sr.'s census records in 1840. They would be the two sons 16-20. It seems to work. Perhaps the actual marriage record might give more information. David and Susannah moved to Lawrence Co Ohio in the 1840s. He died there on Aug. 18, 1872. Different census and death records give his birth date anywhere from 1792 to 1802. I do not know who this David's parents were. It is possible he was originally from Grayson Co VA. There is a David Bird who mustered out from the War of 1812 in Highland Co VA. If so, he might have gotten a land warrant for his service. I haven't discovered this as of yet. He also could be tied to the Bird family that was in Augusta Co. The names George and Andrew run in this David's line, and they are prevalent in the Augusta Birds, but I haven't been able to connect him yet to one of these lines. There also was a George Bird and wife Mary in Gallia Co at the same time. He was born about 1810, so probably was too young to be the parent of David and James H. Bird, but he could have been a brother to my David. I am just starting to look for these missing Bird siblings. There was a Henri Cline who married a female Bird in Lawrence Co Ohio. David Bird Sr. was my husband's great great great grandfather. I have a lot of information on this line if it turns out that we do connect. Notify Administrator about this message?
