I have been sent information (descendant line) of a Bird line. BIRD/BYRD is my husband's line and I am trying to search his lineage. James Lewis Bird supposedly born 1817-1822 and supposedly in Fayette, KY, married Sarah Elizabeth Solomon on Jan 24, 1872 in Sullivan, IN. This is our line, for sure. Now, for what I have no documentation for is: James Lewis' father is given to me as Edward Bird (b 1734 NC) who married his first wife 1) Sarah Hinton. Of this marriage came: Sarah/Sally b. 1815 Carlisle IN and d before 1837 twins: Jackson and Sarah b. & d. 12/11/1830 Sullivan IN David b. 8/22/1832 Sullivan IN and ? died Aug. 1899 He married Elizabeth Solomon of Guilford NC Cyynthia b 8/24/1834 supposedly Hymera, Sullivan IN and d. 1898 in Harrison, MO. She married Phillip Solomon of Guilford, NC Josiah or Joseph b 3/13/1836 His first wife must have died or they divorced...don't know.. Edward married 2nd wife- Ann Trimble. From this union came: our line of James Lewis Bird who married Sarah Elizabeth Solomon. Also a sister to James, Nancy who married William B. Essex. ****** Please let me know if this entertwines with your Bird/Byrd family. I just need the reliable proof to go in this line. This all "appears" logical and several of the siblings married into the Solomon family. I would greatly appreciate any info that anyone can help with here, so I can get past my brick wall!!! Thanks so very much, Nancy Notify Administrator about this message?
