Cathy, your last posting was 6 years ago and I just tried contacting you directly thru the e-mail listed here but failed. Don't know if you'll ever see thism, but maybe it will help others.
Verna Margaret Burd (1888-1974) and Robert Holdren Burd (1895-1981) were born in Black Rock, Arkansas, not Missouri. The 1880 census then shows the family living in Union County,Iowa. When Verna Burd married John Eberle Pringle, they lived in Springifled, Missouri until John Eberle Pringle died in 1927. Verna and her 5 children then moved to Creston, Iowa to live with her parents, Walter Davis Burd and Annie Elizabeth Holdren.
Can't trouble finding info on Walter Davis Burd other than he was born in Aug 1862 in Iowa. Would like any info you anyonbe else has on him. Have several pix of the Burd family if you or anyone is interested, please contact me. - your cousin, Suzie
