Meshack Burchfield was not married to Sally Roan, his wife his unknown at this time. There are over 100 trees that list information about Meshack Burchfield, but none list the correct list of children. From the best of my knowledge his children are the following:
1. Thomas Burchfield married Catherine Smart,
2. Judeah Burchfield maried James Higginson,
3. Rebecca Burchfield married Reuben Long,
4. Meshack Burchfield Jr married Sally Roan(Rone),
5. Joseph Burchfield married Sallie Runner,
6. James A. Burchfield married Lucinda Watt
7. Young Burchfield married Mary Elizabeth Jones
All were married in Warren Co., KY with the exception of Young Burchfield that married in Marion Co., KY. If you have any information proving or disproving Meshack Burchfield as the father of these children, please email me at gasb@aol.com If anyone has any knowledge of other children, please email me.
Does anyone know if any male descendants from these individuals have submitted DNA? We are searching for female descendants of Rebecca and Judeah Burchfield for MtDNA testing.
Many people list Joseph Burchfield that married Susan Holowway as his son, but new information prove that this Joseph is the son of Robert Burchfield and Sallie Young.
