I am descended from Burchet Lundy, daughter of James and Elizabeth Lundy of Isle of Wight, VA, who (Burchet Lundy) married (1) Joseph Turner and (2) Edward Green. I am descended from Joseph Turner by his (1) wife, name unknown, and from Edward Green by his marriage to Burchet Lundy.
Elizabeth Lundy, wife of James Lundy, is stated to have been Elizabeth Burchet, daughter of either Edward or Robert Burchet of Prince George, VA. This is from Evelyn Duke Brandenberger, "The Duke Family" (Houston: privately published, 1979), under Burchet-Lundy Families, p.417. Mrs. Brandenberger wrote that she did not attempt to trace the complicated Burchet records in VA, but in pp. 415-17 she did give some general background information on early VA Burchets (various spellings). She does not clarify whether the above Edward Burchet was the Edward you are researching in Prince George County, but it would seem likely to me that they may be the same. Mrs. Brandenberger did mention ties among the Burchet, Batte, Poythress, Parham, Thweat/Tweat, and allied lines. By chance, have you found any proof for the father of Elizabeth (Burchet?) Lundy as a daughter of Edward or Robert Burchet of Prince George County?
