I have been reading through the messages posted to the forum and am finding them very interesting.

My dad has a book from a few years ago that traces the families of the five Burchett brothers who settled in Virginia. My grandfather, Tom "Jumper" Burchett is in one line while his wife, Rebecca, who was already a Burchett, is in the other. Together they had 10 children, most of which still live in or around Prestonsburg, Kentucky (Floyd County).

I also notice that the Burchetts tend to use what appears to be "family names." My Dad is Andrew Jackson (Jack) Burchett, while my brothers are Dave Jack and Mark Alan.
