I was interested in your comment that Asbury was the son of Thomas Burchett, who in turn was the son of Burwell. I have at least 3 Burwell Burchett's in my line, but I believe they all hailed from Virginia. I do show a Benjamin Burchett, son of Burwell Burchett and Mary Fannin who died in 1848 in Carter County, KY. I'm wondering if I may have found a connection to your line of Burchett's. Please contact me with more or for more information if you wish. I am curious.
