Melissa, I come from a line of Burchettes from Wilkes County, NC -- primarily from Ronda, NC. I don't know of any Walter Burchettes or Russell Burchettes but I will keep my eyes open. My gr gr gr grandfather, John Burchett (they dropped the "e" sometime in the 1800's) was born around 1805in Halifax Co., NC, but lived primarily in Wilkes Co. He was married to Kiziah (I think her last name was Dickenson, but not sure) who was b. circa 1802 in Anson Co., N.C.. They had three sons: Isham (Isom) Burchett b.5/30/1830 d. 11/20/1920, John b. 1834, and Henry b. 1838. Isham is my gr gr grandfather. I know he and his wife Mary Jane Frances Edwards had at least two sons, James Nathanial Burchette (b. 12/28/1856) and Joseph F. Burchette b. 2/15/1879 d. 8/12/1920. There might have been other brothers. Let me know if you find anything!
