I am researching the Burchett/Burchette family from Cook County,
IL. Chester E. Burchett first appears in the 1910 census, but I don't
know where he was before that. He married Mable Lamonte
around 1900 and they had two known children; Edwina Burchett
and Frank R. Burchette. Edwina married a man named Guy and
passed away in St. Petersburg, FL in Dec. 1980. Frank married
Virgina Kaufman in Jackson, OH., 1942.
Chester E. Burchett sold fire insurance and was self employed in
1910 in Chicago, Illinois. Chester's father was born in England
around 1850-60, his mother, Catherine, was born in Ohio around
1852, her mother was born in Ohio and her father in Pennsylvinia.
Chester had two sisters, Jesse born in Illinois in 1888, and Ruth E.
born in Illinois in 1894.
Chester's father also had a sister, Jessie, born in 1853 possibly in
England but 1910 Census says Illinois.
Chester along with his family lived at 4839 Vincinnes Ave.
Chicago, IL. in 1910. This information was taken from the 1910
US CENSUS. The 1910 CENSUS also shows that Chester E.
Burhcett was divorced by the year 1910.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share
the information that I have.
