I have lots of Stegall info but I don't have the name "Margaret" Stegall for this person, but your list of children ties in with my information for an Eliza Jane Stegall.

Buried 24 Aug. 1933 at Hopewell Cem. in Upshur Co.); the 7th child of Henry Burcham b. 1811 TN Hickman Co. and Nancy Searcy, said to be half Indian who smoked corncob pipe. James Marion Burcham m. Elizer Stegall date unknown in Tishomingo, or Alcorn Co. MS, and they moved to TX Upshur Co. at date unknown in a wagon train with other families from that area.
And in 1860 Eliza Stegall was with her parents (have not found this family in 1870)

Hensley Zachariah Stegall is the son of Bird Stegall, son of Richard Stegall, who is my ggggreat grandfather. I am convinced that no one has any real data or ideas about the parents of Richard.
