Dixie, Hettie could be the youngest sister of my Gr Gr Grandfather, William Henry Bircham (1811 - 1867); father of William Simpson Burcham (1838 - 1915). I am new at doing genealogy and the response from my request have been a little overwhelming, considering I am new at using a computer also (I am 80 yrs old). I have notes that my dad, Benjamin Franklin Burcham, Jr., wrote about his family. He was born in Alcorn Co MS in 1888 to B. F. Sr. and Annie E. Burcham. In Dad's notes he wrote that two of Levi Bircham's sons changed the spelling of their surname when they moved to Tishomingo Co MS. My father was forty years old when I was born and he did not have anything to do with his family after his father died; nor did he talk about them. He was a wonderful man and I would like to know something about the world he came from. Thanks for answering my request, and let me know if you think I can help you in yours. Elsie
