Burcham -spelling of name i

Does anyone have any ideas of the way BURCHAM was spelled when the family was in the Walloon area of Belgium (or in early Norfolkshire, England). I doubt it was spelled as we are used to viewing it. Records are mainly in French and hand written, so I need help. The estimate of dates would be late 14oo's to early 1500's.
