Barbara, I have not actually seen the document but the Will of William Denny in Surry Co NC, lists daughter Nancy Burcham, and Levi Burcham was a witness, I'm told.
It was thought for decades that Nancy was a Stoneman, but evidently she was not, and getting the older genealogies corrected is not happening. My paternal grandmother was a Burcham and my grandpa a Stoneman, so I've researched both families.
