In October 2006 I posted a query on the Rootsweb Burbank message board but have had no response. I asked:
Who was Lucy Burbank? In "The Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson about serial killer Herman Mudgett, aka Howard H. Holmes, on p. 364 it says that in Holmes' office they (police) found a bank book belonging to a woman named Lucy Burbank. This leads to the conclusion that she was one of the many victims in Chicago during the 1890’s whom Mudgett killed.

If you have information, please respond

John Burbank
